Wearable computer monitor

Wearable computer now available It might look like something from a sci-fi film, but for the first time a wearable computer is being offered for sale. The computer, built by Xybernaut Corporation in the United States, is called poma. The processor is about the size of a paperback, with a separate mouse and a colour head-mounted display.Running on Windows CE, the computer replaces a mobile, pager, and MP3 player, says Xybernaut. It is operated by a handheld optical mouse, and has a 32Bit 128 MHz RISC processor, 32MB of RAM, and 32MB of ROM.Windows CE is a 'stripped down' version of a full Windows operating system, prompting comment that the poma is merely a more sophisticated version of a PalmPilot.

Dell's 30-inch monitor

Dell's 30-inch monitor CES 2006: We predicted some big LCD monitors would debut at CES, and Dell proved us right by announcing the 30-inch wide-screen UltraSharp 3007WFP. This gigantic monitor tops Dell's largest previous LCD, the 24-inch wide-screen UltraSharp 2405FPW. The 3007WFP is available in the US for US$2,199.With its 2,560x1,600 native resolution, this monitor requires a top-of-the line graphics card, and you'll need a big desk, too, though for the amount of screen real estate it provides, this monitor is surprisingly light, only 25 pounds.
